1863 The Hand-Book of Artillery by Joseph Roberts US Army & Militia Civil War

  

Davis Sep 9 1863" and "Company M 14th Ha. My research found this to be Mortimer Davis of Avon New York who enlisted at age 23 on Dec 1 1863 to the 14th New York Heavy Artillery, but had his hand shot off and was discharged due to disability August 25 1864. 1880 census records show he was married to an Eiza Davis and is buried in the Avon NY Cemetery. Minimal wear to cloth covers, tight binding, wonderful illustrations.
