This listing is for the book "A Youth's History of the Great Civil War in the United States from 1861 to 1865" by R. This book was published by Van Evie, Horton & Co.
Original 1867 edition, sixty-fifth thousand. The book is an embossed hardcover with a gilt spine.
Condition: I see no weakness in the spine but the exterior spine has some small splits in the hardcover on the edges as photographed, no tears in the pages. The embossed exterior cover shows some discoloration but nothing extreme but what you would expect in a book of this age. Some toning noted on the pages. One page looks like it was not trimmed as photographed but intact. The front blank pages have the name of the book owner written on one page and stamped on the next page. Overall a very nice example of an 1867 historic book.
