1875 Memoirs of General W. Sherman First Edition 2 Vol Set Civil War Map. Original 1875 first edition two-volume hardcover set of Memoirs of General William Tecumseh Sherman Written by Himself, published by D. Appleton and Company, New York. A highly collectible Civil War era autobiography written by one of the Union Army's most famous generals.

Both volumes retain their original blue cloth hardcovers with gilt spine lettering and front cover titling. Included is the large fold-out military campaign map titled Military Map Showing the Marches of the United States Forces Under Command of Maj. During the Years 1863, 1864, 1865.

The map remains present but is fragile due to age. Condition is heavily age-related but respectable for a true 1875 first edition set.

Covers show edge wear, staining, corner wear, spine wear, and fraying at the top edges. Interior pages display toning, foxing, and age discoloration throughout. Bindings appear intact with readable pages.

The fold-out map has creases and age wear but displays well. A historically significant Civil War memoir set with strong shelf presence and desirable original bindings.
