Both books and map rare!!! They are vintage and fragile, a must have, 1862-65 set focusing on the topic of Sets and the subject of Civil War. In-depth contemporary account of the Civil War. Volume 1 begins in 1782 and ends with General McClellan called to Washington. Volume 2 begins with Texas and New Mexico in 1862 and ends with the Death of President Lincoln.

Volume one of a two-volume set gives a historical overview of slavery and the abolition movement in the U. Records events leading to secession, and details political and military action early in the Civil War. 147-177 discusses the annexation of Texas to the United States. 1881 American Conflict 2 vol set with large fold out map. These items are vintage and extremely old, they are in heavily used condition, discoloration and tears, spots, small holes are shown to my best ability in pics.
