Southern history of the war volumes I and II by E. These are antique books from 1866. They recount the Civil War.

Each book contains about 10 engravings. These books are antiques and are in used condition. The pages have significant foxing, stains and discoloration including most of the engravings. Also expect creases, slight rips or bends on some of the pages. The binding of volume 1 and some of the pages are loose.

Some of the tissue guards on engravings are missing mostly from volume 2. The covers both have damage around the edges and some peeling. The inside front cover of volume II has a North Carolina one dollar bill glued inside dated September 1, 1862 signed by W. Unsure of its authenticity haven't tried to remove for fear of damage to the book or the note.
