Boards scuffed at edges and worn/bumped at corners. Heads and tails of spines scuffed; spines tanned from shelf-wear & sun-exposure - gilt lettering moderately dulled & difficult to read. Edges of text-blocks marbled (Dulled).
Gutters of Vols 3, 4 & 11 split with exposed binding mesh. Normal off-setting on tissue guards. Bindings remain intact - some gutters split. Brigadier-General Clement Anselm Evans (1833 - 1911) was a senior officer of the Confederate States Army who commanded infantry in the Eastern Theater of the American Civil War. Afterwards, he edited a 12-volume work on Confederate military history, so named, in 1899. Complete set in 12 volumes.
