The thrust of the report is testimony presented to a congressional joint committee involving the violence and intimidation of the Ku Klux Clan after the Civil War. The KKK's activities recounted here were aimed at African Americans and at undermining the north's reconstruction efforts. This testimony led to laws to protect civil rights.
The books measure 6.25x9.25. Indexes for the committee report are included in the front of each book. I have the books of testimony for other southern states and will be listing them in coming days.
