The Great Slaveholder's Rebellion! Rare Original Civil War Pamphlet. A most rare Civil War pamphlet/broadside, seems to have been printed in 1864, intent on setting the record straight regarding Southern secession and the origins of the Civil War, that it was not President Abraham Lincoln's election that caused the war, that Southerners were dead set on secession no matter what, that "copperhead sympathizers" are in the wrong, and a great deal more.

" Interestingly, Frederick Douglass called the war "The Slaveholders Rebellion in a speech he gave by this name on July 4th, 1862. Douglass met John Brown in Detroit in 1859 and Detroit played a crucial role in the Underground Railroad as well. Please see the many photos.
