Exterior shows very little wear aside for some toning to gilded design and text to the spine face. Upper and lower ends of the spine show some very minor rubbing and the covers show only very minor age, shelf or use wear.
On the front endpapers are 19th century former owner's name inscriptions cleanly in pencil and ink. The endpapers of this volume are yellow as published with publisher's advertisements for other books printed at the endpapers. Yellow endpapers are mostly clean with some minor pencil notations. Interior pages of the book are still for the most part very clean and bright with a few having some minor, marginal soiling and a few showing some toning from where a note or clipping was placed.
Book includes a handwritten recipe, a clipping and a folded antique metal polish advertisement, all found inside the book and included with it. Book's original period binding is still tight and well intact and the book is complete with all pages present and none coming loose, detached or missing.
