This Bible was printed during the English Civil War period - 1642 - 1651. Main title page; New Testament title page, and The Whole Book of Psalmes title page present. Includes Old and New Testaments, the Psalms in meter, A forme of prayer to be used in private houses every Morning and Evening, plus a table of the psalms.

Size: 230mm x 184mm x 70mm. Binding heavily rubbed with wear to extremities; leather absent from lower spine; main title-page shabby and frayed with loss, as is the dedicatory (both shown in photographs); early leaves of Genesis frayed at the edges; leaves goldening / browning; occasional notation in old ink; a few leaves water stained; occasional creases / fraying (some loss of text); corner absent to Matthew 24: 51 (text remaining present - just); corner loss to last leaf (text unaffected); text-block uneven; top edge of text-block cut with occasional loss of title; binding holding, leaves remain secure.
