A Record of Battery I, First N. Otherwise Known as Wiedrich's Battery, During the War of the Rebellion, 1861-'65. This Battery Participated in Over Fifty Engagements and Battles During Its Period of Enlistment, Most Notable of Which were Those of Cross Keys, the Second Bull Run, Chancellorsville, Gettysburg, Lookout Mountain, Resaca, Kennesaw Mountain, Culp's Farm, Atlanta, Etc. It was the Only Separate Command Actively Engaged, Representing the City of Buffalo, in the Battle of Gettysburg, July 1, 2 and 3, 1863, where it Held the Important Position on East Cemetery Hill, and was Mainly Instrumental in Checking and Defeating the Celebrated Charge of the'Louisiana Tigers,' at that Point, on the Evening of the Second of July, Compiled from Reliable Sources by Cyrus Kingsbury Remington.

CONDITION: In Very Good+ condition; with a strong spine showing no cracking or splitting, strong hinges showing no separation or starting, no loose or missing pages, and no annotations foxing or mold.Outer covers show general rubbing and edge-wear: light dust staining to outer covers; bumping and rubbing to the corners and edges with exposure to the corners; small chip missing from the top edge of the front hinge (see Images 1 using Magnifier tool), but again, no separation or starting; light wear to the foot and crown of spine, but no chipping or loss (see Image 10); former owner's personal library stamp on the reverse of the title page (see Image 3). All in all a nice example of a very rare volume.
