Antique CIVIL WAR Regimental History THE FIRST REGIMENT NEW HAMPSHIRE VOLUNTEERS

  
Up for sale is this rare antique 1890 copy of The First Regiment New Hampshire Volunteers in the Great Rebellion. The book is overall in very good condition. The covers have some minor wear as illustrated in the photos, most noticeably some wear to the extremities of the spine. There is a horizontal split to the fabric at the bottom of the spine near the decorative horizontal decorative gilt line. The binding of the book is good and sound. As illustrated in the tenth photo there is a small spot of damage to the front free endpaper, it looks like its most likely from the removal of a price tag. There is a period name inscription in fountain pen to the front and back blank flyleaves. The name on the back flyleaf is written upside down. As depicted in the 9th photo there are some rectangles of browning, likely from newspaper clippings which once were tucked between the pages.

Besides that, the pages are lightly toned from age but are generally clean, though there may be the occasional page with some other minor imperfection such as a minor stain, tiny chip or tear, creased page corner, etc. All in all a nice antique Civil War New Hampshire regimental history book.
