EASTON PRESS SPECIAL EDITION 2-VOLUME BOOK SET "THE GETTYSBURG CAMPAIGN" BY EDWIN B. It's titled "The Gettysburg Campaign", written by respected Civil War scholar Edwin B. This important book examines the strategy and battle action of Gettysburg in light of both Union and Confederate generalships. Coddington's research for the book included more than 170 previously unexamined personal manuscripts of many of the battle's participants. The work reassesses the roles of many of the conflict's most famous an infamous leaders and soldiers, debunking the legendary heroics of some while giving others long overdue credit. Both volumes of this special edition book set are bound in genuine leather with a 22K gold stamped cover design and raised spine hubs. The books have threadsewn pages of archival paper with gold gilded edges, moiré fabric endsheets, and sewn-in satin ribbon bookmarks. An information sheet and unused owner bookplate are also included. The frontispiece of each volume is decorated with an illustration painted by Mort Kunstler. The set has 866 numbered pages (both volumes combined). The text is supplemented with illustrations, maps, command rosters, and an index. Each book measures approximately 9 1/2" x 6 1/4" in size. Condition of these Easton Press books is EXCELLENT. I don't believe they were ever read. I don't see any writing on the inside pages. The leather covers look great with only the slightest wear. The gold gilt on the edge of the pages has a few minor scuffs.

Overall, these collectible Easton books look fantastic and would make a fine addition to any Civil War library. Please take a close look at the many photos I've provided and judge condition for yourself. Destination is a real bargain.
