Katherine Hunter Berrien Anderson was the wife of Major George Wayne Anderson, who was the Officer in Charge of the Fort when it was surrendered to General Sherman on December 13th, 1864 - thus ending the war in Savannah. There is also an inked signature on front blank end page of a "Elizabeth Anderson Brown".
