Wheelhouse was known for her illustrations of books by authors like Louisa May Alcott, George Sand, and Elizabeth Gaskell. She was also actively involved in the women's suffrage movement and helped found the Artists' Suffrage League in 1907. In addition to her artistic pursuits, she ran a toy shop called Pomona Toys with fellow artist Louise Jacobs, creating charming wooden dolls and other toys. Published circa 1925, it is in GOOD+ CONDITION for any age and especially to be around 100 YEARS OLD!!! And firmly bound with NO TEARS or stray in text markings.
