The series follows Si Klegg and his companion Shorty through their fictional service with the 200th Indiana during the Civil War, progressing through campaigns at Stone River, Tullahoma, Chattanooga, Atlanta and ultimately capture and imprisonment at Andersonville. Condition All are in Good or Good+ condition for age. Wrappers show general toning, rubbing, staining and soiling, edge and corner wear, creasing, small tears and areas of paper loss.

Several spine folds are worn or split with exposed staples, and there are areas of tearing or loss around the staple attachments. Old adhesive/tape reinforcement or residue is present in places. Interior pages show age toning with scattered staining, foxing, creases, edge wear and occasional small tears or chips. All seven books are present and complete.
